Aug. 12^th-14^th, organized by Esquel Group, “The Esquel Forum on Sustainable Development: Greenness, Innovation & Longing for Changes 2013" was held in Gaoming Dist., Foshan City, Guangdong Province. This forum enabled the government officials, scholars, non-governmental organization representatives and enterprise experts to get together to make an in-depth discussion on environmental resources, sustainable production, waste disposal, public policy and corporate social responsibility etc.
Chairman of CCCT Jiang Hui was invited to the forum as a keynote speaker. Other guests, such as Mr. Qian Guanlin, Deputy Director of Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, Ms. Ma Xiuhong, Former Vice Minister of Commerce, Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee and Director-General of China Foreign Trade Center (CFTC), Mr. Li Xiaoliang, Professor of the Center for Sustainable Development and Global Competitiveness (CSDGC) at Stanford University, Mr. Ma Jun, Director of the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE) as well as several other government officials also attended the meeting.
